Senior Graphic Designer

Join us in designing better consumer experiences for people & planet.

We’re hiring an experienced visual designer to help us shape the future of Goods and our work within consumer brands and packaging.

Full-time · Oslo, Norway

Us

Goods is a studio that challenges how consumer experiences are designed. We work closely with packaging and the physical side of brands — balancing big impact with a small footprint.

We are a multidisciplinary design studio comprised of industrial and visual designers, as well as sustainability experts. Bringing these disciplines together within our team allows us to work in a meaningful way, as we get to challenge both the structural, visual, and responsible aspects of packaging design. Our complementary capabilities ensure that we can help brands reduce their environmental impact in more depth.

Our clients come from almost all consumer categories; fashion & lifestyle, technology, retail, food & drink, both nationally and internationally. We often collaborate with brands like Nothing, Sonos, Toteme, Tekla, Oura and Ledger to name a few.

Last year we joined ARC, which connected us to a like-mined network of competencies to regularly collaborate with, including Above and Kurppa Hosk. Finally, we pride ourselves on being an international team with a third of us being from abroad.

You

You are an experienced graphic designer, with a particular passion for the physical expression of brands, and are curious to explore and shape the role of graphic design within a sustainability context and our multi-disciplinary team. You are conceptually driven with the ability to see the consequences of proposed solutions, and can deftly craft functional and thoughtful design systems.

Some stuff you'll be doing: driving creative processes independently and collaboratively; inspiring the team and our clients through clearly articulated design paths and references; leading client dialogues and processes; all sorts of research (competitive, cultural, etc.); translating learnings into insights and strategy; generating visual concepts and moodboards; designing and developing visual identities and packaging; collaborating with our industrial designers or other experts; and much more.

We are open to different types of candidates and do not want to limit you by posting an exhaustive list of specific requirements. However, you should have deep knowledge and experience in brand & design and packaging is definitely a plus.

If you are positive, pragmatic, structured, eager to learn (and share knowledge) and open to meet new people, that's fantastic. If you want responsibility, we'll give it to you. You can come from anywhere as long as you have a working visa in Norway, speak English and/or a Scandinavian language.

Together

We are 10 specialists, you will be number 11. Goods offer a comprehensive insurance package, delicious lunch, paid mobile phone, gym membership, educational courses, guest inspirational speakers and a great network of colleagues that often turn into long term friendships.

We share our office with other ARC companies, designed by Spacon&X at Factory Tøyen. Here we eat lunch together every day, have events and pop-ups, collaborate and learn from each other.

Life balance is very important to us. We'd rather you read a book, cook some food or take walk outside instead of spending your evenings at work.

All applications will be treated with confidentiality.

The role is based in Oslo, although opportunities for both travel and working abroad in other ARC locations are many. If you are eligible for a working visa in Norway, we are happy to help with the practicalities around paperwork such as employment certificate.
